Laval Sans brings over twenty-seven years of pharmaceutical industry experience and a broad range of talents to Health Source. He has put his marketing know how and BSBA degree from Bryant University to good use, having worked for such highly revered organizations as Abbott Laboratories, the American Red Cross and most recently Bayer Pharmaceuticals. Over the course of his career in health care, he has witnessed first hand the many changes that make operating a successful medical practice today, in the managed care environment, so challenging. He is eager to help our Franchisees achieve their goals and partner along with our DC's to expand their practices beyond what they thought possible. Laval has worked with physicians and health professionals in primary care, gastroenterology, pulmonology, nephrology, hematology and oncology, having implemented marketing programs and increasing the bottom line for his company by over 200% since 2004. Having worked with HMO's, PPO's, and State Medicaid, he has developed a strong grasp of the reimbursement landscape and a solid reputation for exemplary customer service. These skills coupled with his innate marketing ability, will be a great asset to our HS Franchise owners in Connecticut and Rhode Island. Laval's other interests include golf, skiing, and sailing as well as building and renovating residential homes (licensed general contractor), He lives with his wife Linda and three children in Littleton, Massachusetts.

Nigel Shepherd is a multi-faceted executive, who blends business expertise with legal know- how to improve processes and reduce costs in the highly competitive insurance/financial services industry. He has a demonstrated track record in organizational realignment and strategic cost optimization, with a focus on long-term value creation and growth. Nigel has spent over 23 years in the insurance/reinsurance industry, in a variety of global and senior executive positions. Throughout his career, he has embraced and utilized cutting-edge technology to improve processes with a focus on delivering quality customer service. Colleagues have commented on Nigel's creative hands-on approach, persuasive verbal and written skills, and ability to work across all levels of an organization. Nigel received a BS in Finance from Syracuse University. He continued his education, receiving a JD from Pace School of Law. In addition, he attended a Management Development Program at the University of Michigan. He is a member of the New York State Bar, and received both the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriting (CPCU) and the Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) designations.
