When we lose weight too quickly, we run the risk of obtaining nutrient deficiencies. The result can be the development of conditions like rickets, edema and scurvy. Some people may also experience side effects like hair loss, diarrhea, gallstones, fatigue, and the loss of muscle.

Because of the possible side effects, it is important to stay away from unhealthy diets. A proper diet features a wide variety of several types of foods, so if you see a diet that tells you to cut out one of them, stay away from it.
It is also important that you don’t skip meals to lose weight. Skipping a meal can actually trick your body into thinking it is starving. The result is that your body will store more fat and use muscle for energy instead.
The overuse and abuse of diet pills – especially ones that claim that you don’t have to change your lifestyle – is also dangerous. Those pills may allow you to lose weight, but you will stay unhealthy and that could lead to various health risks such as heart disease or back problems. The pills also can have severe side effects such as an increased heart rate or increased blood pressure.
What Proper Weight Loss Looks Like -
Though a slow method, proper weight loss includes losing 1-2 pounds a week. It also involves eating properly and exercising. But before you start picturing eating rabbit food and exhaustive exercise routines, understand this: proper weight loss may be difficult but it doesn’t have to be torture!
For instance, treat your favorite fatty and sweet foods as a reward for healthy eating rather than the enemies. Why not motivate yourself by indulging in a sensibly-sized bowl of ice cream or a juicy steak every Saturday as a reward for eating healthily throughout the week?
According to the FDA, exercise doesn’t have to be a torture session either. Just do moderate activity for half an hour every day. What does that mean? Play with your grandkids. Go for a brisk walk. Garden. Keep yourself active as a way to supplement your healthy eating. You’ll be losing weight properly in no time.
