Dr. Tracy Bagwell, D.C.
At the age of 12, Dr. Tracy Bagwell knew that he wanted to be a chiropractor. Inspired by the positive experiences that his father had with chiropractic medicine and following in the career footsteps of his older brother, Dr. Bagwell began a lifelong journey to help others get out of pain and get back to doing what they love.
Dr. Bagwell attended The University of Alabama in Huntsville and National College of Chiropractic. He earned his BS and DC from NCC, and he is licensed to practice by the Alabama State Board of Chiropractic Examiners. He opened his practice in 1989—just five days after the birth of his first child.
Dr. Bagwell has been happily married for over 36 years. He has three children and three grandchildren. The young ones keep him moving! And Dr. Bagwell is well-conditioned for the task.
The Bagwell family is an active family; they are passionate about exercise, and Dr. Bagwell loves to take them on great outdoor adventures! Whether he is kayaking or running a marathon (or, in more recent years, spiritedly walking one), Dr. Bagwell enjoys the physical aspects of being out and about.
At this leg of his personal journey, Dr. Bagwell is a “completer,” not a “competer!” He has completed various endurance events (marathons and triathlons). His longest event is a Half Ironman—and he’s currently training to get his speed back and go after his next big race!
“To move well as you age, you must move well as you age.” Dr. Bagwell shares this maxim with each of his patients. He encourages those in his care to exercise, to be active in the world, and to choose action over words. Dr. Bagwell would rather “spread the mulch” than talk about it!
Yet, while he strives to help his patients reach their goals, Dr. Bagwell doesn’t prioritize the end result over the relationships that must be built to get there. He is motivated by his faith to show his patients kindness, caring, and professional compassion.
As a chiropractic professional, Dr. Bagwell gathers objective data and uses it to identify underlying problems. He tailors individual treatment plans to correct his patients’ dysfunctions. (Bespoke treatment is the only treatment that Dr. Bagwell offers. Nothing in his clinic is “one size fits all.”)
Dr. Bagwell’s years in chiropractic have taught him that resolving the problem is about more than eliminating pain. It’s about restoring function and quality of life—from the moment his patients wake up until they fall asleep at the end of the day. Or, as he likes to put it, “You can’t have a great day, all day, until you have a good morning.”
