Kim is often the first and last person you see when you visit HealthSource of Avon. As a result, it's important that she's kind and thoughtful, that she welcomes you into the clinic like she's known you for years (even if it's your first time here), and that she's able to answer any question you have with clarity and understanding. Kim is, without a doubt, exactly that person.
Receiving care after spending a period of time in pain is a scary experience, but thankfully Kim will guide you along the way. Her smile will embolden you and you'll feel comfortable right away.
An avid boater, Kim can be found in the summer on Lake Erie trying not to fall overboard her sailboat, and in the winter curling up next to a fire with a good book. She's currently getting her bachelor's degree in linguistics from Cleveland State University.
There are some people who light up any room they are in, and this particular Rehab Specialist certainly does that. But it’s not just her skills in the therapy bay that will make Katelyn your favorite person to visit at HealthSource, it's her ability to make you smile on even your worst day.
The fact is, Katelyn gets people better. Her skills as a therapist are unmatched and she puts her all into making sure each patient achieves their goals and heals.
She also makes sure all her patients feel comfortable — a tough task when rehabbing someone who may be skeptical of chiropractic care or who may be suffering from the worst pain of their lives. With a warm smile and quick joke, she manages to make everyone feel included, important, and cared for. She has an uncanny ability to make people feel like they're the only ones in the room. Patients will come in specifically just to see her, because they know she’s going to get them better quickly. And the thing is…she does — by doing what every rehab specialist should: she cares about the patient, gets them back to feeling like themselves, and follows them as they struggle, improve, regress, and break through.
She has a bachelor's degree in exercise science from John Carroll University, where she is currently working on a master's in education with the goal of becoming an elementary school teacher. In her spare time she enjoys making those around her laugh, dancing on the lawn at country music concerts, and eating french fries until she gets sick.
Some say Patrick is the heartbeat of HealthSource of Avon. You can't talk to him and not laugh or smile, and you'll never leave the clinic in a bad mood if you have the pleasure of being under his care.
He's skilled at his craft, which is making you feel comfortable while rehabbing any aches, pains, or injuries you're experiencing. And the message he'll write in your birthday card is...well, let's just say it's a birthday card you won't throw away any time soon :)
He holds a bachelor's degree in exercise science and physical education from John Carroll University, and also ran cross country and played baseball at the collegiate level. He's a roller coaster enthusiast, lives on the Lake Erie shore with his 2 roommates (aka, his parents), and his life goal is to write birthday cards for Hallmark.
Leslie Mihelich, L.M.T.
Licensed Massage Therapist
You've no doubt had a massage before, but don't think for a minute that you've received anything close to the level of care Leslie will give you.
Her massages aren't intended just to make you "feel good" (although they undoubtedly will). Her massages are designed to specifically ease the tension and pain from the areas where you're having trouble. Think of it as an extension of rehab care and not some "foo-foo" rubbing.
Leslie has her Certificate of Massage Therapy from Northwestern Health Sciences University and her Certificate of Physical Therapy from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
In her spare time, Leslie is a certified level 1-4 gymnastics coach with USA Gymnastics. She recently celebrating 10 years of marriage with her husband, Peter, with whom she shares two children: daughter, Madisen (8) and son, Easton (7).
Aimee is that unique blend of mother and friend that makes our patients love her. It helps that, as a mom of two, she loves taking care of people, and she'll make sure you are staying on top of your care plan so you truly get better.
Although demure in the clinic, one surprising fact about Aimee is how much she loves the spotlight. Whether it's making a face in a group photo, or dancing on the jumbotron while her entire family surrounds her, Aimee makes sure she's the star and we love her for it!
Aimee holds a degree from Ball State University in Indiana. She lives in North Ridgeville with her husband of 10 years, Ben; son, Nolan (9); and daughter, Kenley (7).
Cory is our resident intern. After a stint here at HealthSource, he'll graduate in October as a doctor of chiropractic — making good on a promise to himself that he would make a career out of getting people healthy.
An athlete through and through, Cory excelled at collegiate track, becoming a 2013 Division II national champion in the 4-by-4 and a 6-time All American. Even though he's a few years removed from his days at Ashland University, where he graduated pre-med, he hasn't lost his love for being physical, whether that means hitting the links, the gym, or taking long runs with his yellow lab.
