3 Ways to Help Your Produce Last

Spring is on the horizon, which means all that delicious produce from farms across the country will soon be in countertops all over America.

But if you find that the produce in your house goes bad before you can eat it, here’s 3 ways you can keep your fruits and veggies fresher longer.

  1. Prep your greens. Greens are so fragile they’ll spoil quickly. Don’t wash them until ready to use and put a paper towel or two in the bag to soak up moisture.
  2. Be patient. It’s generally a bad idea to prep fruits before using. Wash and cut berries and other fruits right before eating.
  3. Frozen is fine. Fresh is always better, but frozen produce locks in nutrients and can be a great alternative.
