Katie Anderson, L.M.T.
Katie Anderson is a licensed massage therapist and has been practicing for 9 years. She graduated from the Iowa College of Natural Health in 2007 and has furthered her education by attending various massage clinics. Katie is trained and has developed in the modalities of deep tissue massage, sports massage, Swedish massage, prenatal massage and myofascial release. She uses techniques from these modalities to help relieve tight muscles that can cause soreness, headaches, or range of motion issues. Her goal is to help people have less stress and pain in their life.
Jennifer Phipps, L.M.T.
Jennifer is a native Iowan of 49 years. She found her passion for massage and its benefits ten years ago at Des Moines’ own Body Wisdom School of Massage. It is there that Jennifer found her niche. While she has a great appreciation of spa modalities, she has found that clients with specific body work needs are where she excels most. There is a passion for her work that shines through her technique.
Deep tissue is a widely misunderstood application, it is a technique rather than a pressure, and clients can rest assured that deep tissue can be applied with light or firm, if desired, pressure and still get great muscle release without feeling “beaten up”. Jennifer seeks to address body and muscle pain and tension through compassionate touch. With several modalities under her belt such as Deep Tissue, Shiatsu, Traditional Thai and Thai Reflexology, Sports Massage and Guasha, she has been able to hone her own technique to isolate and release muscles.
Past client experience includes Marathon runners, Olympic Gymnasts, MMA fighters and many others.
She is very excited to join the Healthsource team and to help you reach your personal goals.
